How to Use CMS
A quick guide to get you up and running.
Your account
- •Accounts are created by an administrator — there's no public sign-up. This is industry standard for monitoring systems: it keeps the platform closed to outsiders.
- •The administrator creates your account with the email you provide and gives you a temporary password. Log in with those credentials and change your password in Settings straight away.
- •Forgot your password? Use “Forgot password” to reset it via email. The link is single-use and expires shortly.
Pilot Account
Evaluating CMS? You may have been given a pilot link or QR code. Enter the access code provided and you'll go straight to a live demo dashboard — no account setup needed.
Managing your login
- •You can change your own password anytime from Settings.
- •To change the email address on your account, contact your administrator — they'll update it for you.
Pilot Account
Pilot accounts use a shared access code instead of personal credentials, so there's no password or email to manage. If your code stops working, ask your administrator for the latest one.
Your dashboard
- •Shows the devices linked to your account.
- •Each device card: latest temperature (and humidity if fitted), history graph, battery, and online status.
- •Updates automatically — or hit Refresh for the latest reading now.
Alerts
- •Turn on Push (this device) and Email alerts from the dashboard.
- •You're notified when a sensor goes out of range or a device goes offline.
- •Alerts run server-side — they work even when you're signed out. No need to keep the app open.
Pilot Account
On a pilot account, just type your email into the Email Alerts card on the dashboard to start receiving alerts — no setup or app install required. Push notifications aren't available on pilot accounts.
Staying signed in
- •Signed out after 3 days of inactivity, and at least once every 15 days.
- •Just sign back in — your devices and history are exactly as you left them.
Security
- •Invitation-only access (admin-created accounts).
- •Passwords stored encrypted, never in plain text.
- •All traffic protected over HTTPS.
- •Sessions expire automatically, so an unattended device can't stay logged in.
